acupuncture therapy

Our bodies are complex bio-electrical systems, which is the foundation of acupuncture. Energy in our bodies circulate along well defined pathways (meridians). Acupuncture points along meridians are tied to specific body structures, systems, and organs. If these pathways are disrupted by trauma, tension or other maladies, optimum functioning of the body is affected resulting in pain or illness. The acupuncture physician stimulates or massages targeted acu-points to balance and correct the circulation of energy; influencing overall health, sense of wellbeing and chronic pain treatment.

Tui na massage therapy

Tui Na literally translates as “push and grasp,” and is a sophisticated style of medical massage used to treat injuries, joint/muscle problems & internal disorders. Tui Na is one of the three pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine practiced in hospitals all over the world. It is based on the same theories and foundations of Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine which work to bring the body into greater health and balance. It promotes and re-establishes health to restore injured tissues. Some treatment protocols require major Tui Na focus on attacking the root of the pain, move blood stasis, and to fight off disease.

herbal therapy

Herbal medicine uses plants and natural substances for therapy or medicinal purposes. Chinese Herbal Medicine is based on the concepts of Yin Yang. It aims to understand and treat the many ways in which the fundamental balance & harmony of our bodies become imbalanced and susceptible to illness and disease. Clinical strategies are based upon diagnosis of patterns, signs and symptoms that reflect imbalance. A clinical herbalist employs more than 250 standard formulas, each of which can be modified to fit a patient's individual pattern of disharmony.
